Wirepas is a Finnish connectivity software company headquartered in Tampere, founded in 2010 as a spin-off from Tampere University of Technology. Wirepas develops the Wirepas Mesh protocol stack - decentralized large-scale mesh networking software that runs on standard radio chipsets and powers IoT solutions for asset tracking, indoor positioning, smart metering, smart buildings, and logistics. Wirepas does not manufacture hardware itself: gateways, anchors, and tags are produced by partner vendors running the Wirepas stack, all speaking the common gateway-to-backend API defined by Wirepas.
