September 2025 change log

Major flespi improvements in September 2025.

September will be remembered for the Telematics and Connected Mobility Conference that Gurtam organized in Vilnius. We've met a lot of flespi customers, hardware partners, competitors and in general - many interesting people from the industry. The main takeaway for me is that the interest for OEM Data services is increasing and that the best predictions come from the best engineers. But if you haven't been so lucky to visit the conference in person then you need to wait until Gurtam publishes some of the presentations to understand what I am talking about 😃

What September won't be remembered for (even though it probably should) is 100% uptime with 0 incidents. Diligent work of the flespi team, our contractors and the global network infrastructure, thanks to everybody involved. Let's not forget about codi, who bravely took 90% of communication in flespi chat to his digital shoulders.

In September we added Tacho functionality for Xirgo protocol. It required not only protocol work, but also some back-end features development. Also, one more protocol is currently in active development for Tacho features, so stay tuned.

Analytics system was updated to check dependency chain of calculators (it is when the processing of one calculator depends on the results of the second which depends on third and there are turtles all the way down) . The vast majority of flespi users are not affected by this update, but the fact that we need to work on this shows that flespi Analytics system is used in more and more sophisticated scenarios.

Regular protocol work:

  • 2 new protocols supported: renault-trucks (which proves my point about increasing demand in OEM data services) and amqp
  • 19 new device types for 3 existing protocols
  • 30 different enhancements in protocols changelogs (which is quite a lot for one month)

Last but not least, we spent one of the sunny September afternoons at a barbecue party, enjoying free tech related conversations and strategic discussions, which you, dear flespi customers, might well benefit from in the near and far future.
