Two months after the conference, we can finally share what I consider the most exciting talks – even though there were many more worth watching. Jan Bartnitsky has highlighted his “must-see” sessions (they're going to be available to our vigorous public soon), but I decided to take a more marketing-driven angle and focus on real-world project implementations built on flespi. And there were plenty. Interestingly, these cases from the Tech track show how the entire approach can evolve even in domains where it seems like there’s nothing left to reinvent – or where technology should have “solved it all” long ago.
Jan Palas / AG Info
We’ve already written about this Czech project once, and it was a real pleasure to see how far they’ve taken it – especially with the “powered by flespi” badge shining on their presentation slides. If you think agritech doesn’t really need GPS tracking – brace yourself. Modern farming is packed with data coming from dozens of harvesters, seeders, and trucks moving crops across the fields. Turns out there’s a lot of room for precision...
Claire Alleaume / Mobilisights
The data flow from OEMs to the end customer is a multi-layered maze full of technical and legal bumps. Mobililinsights is Stellantis's in-house DaaS company, providing access to embedded telematics data from its 14 brands. Hundreds of vehicle models, tons of parameters, and no clarity on how to simply share data, while there are a number of blank spaces that can be utilized further. Claire showed how one of the most efficient OEM–partner data exchange models works today – with a data aggregator at the core, streamlining and accelerating what used to be a disclosed process some time ago.
Eitan Kirshenboim / ERM Advanced Telematics
Fuel theft feels like an eternal problem. But once you literally dive inside the fuel tank, things get interesting. Turns out measurement accuracy can drop to 15%, and previous engineering solutions are often questionable or hard to install. So how can fleet operators monitor massive fuel volumes without overspending – and still keep the process simple and reliable? Sometimes, all it takes is a closer look underneath the tank.
Amin Mansoori / GeoGPS
When we think of a sprawling railway network, it’s not obvious that a standard GPS tracker might not be enough. But if you’re dealing with multiple parallel tracks just a few meters apart, a small error can theoretically send one train into another. A company from Georgia overhauled the infrastructure and introduced an innovative approach that solves this – delivering phenomenal accuracy and a seamless tracking experience across the entire country. Get ready for RFIDs and thousands of geozones.
Sergei Leuchanka / Telematics inSights
This project is, without doubt, one of our favorites. Built from scratch on our platform in one of the most complex and fast-growing fields – video telematics – it went commercial in under a year. But while the product itself got plenty of spotlight, what Sergei shared goes deeper: the challenges, the setbacks, the unexpected roadblocks – even with full access to the platform and a super-tight feedback loop between dev teams. That journey is the real value here: hard-earned insights you won’t get anywhere else.
This conference became the perfect spot to kick off a new level of interaction between TSPs, connectivity providers, and hardware manufacturers – all in direct dialogue with a broad audience of business leaders and developers, guided on stage by top-level speakers. Two days were enough to spark great discussions, but definitely not enough to cover everything.
So go ahead and mark fall 2027 in your calendar – the next edition of Telematics & Connected Mobility is coming, bigger and louder. Expect more exhibitors, more standout talks, and even more insights and opportunities. Stay tuned! :)
