TSP in connection: Mapon

How famous fleet management & asset tracking platform benefits from flespi integration.

Integrations aren’t a regular occurrence for us, but they play a key role as they're always unlocking new horizons. You may argue, that cooperation nowadays is a model that doesn't survive for long. Ok, here's the story about a real partnership that has been running smoothly for years, built on the trust of thousands of devoted customers.

Can giant TSP benefit from flespi?

Do you know how many GPS trackers are produced each year as the telematics industry expands? How is the market growing with new rising stars from the EMEA region? What if you want to add asset tracking to your current fleet management web service? Or maybe your support line is overwhelmed with customer requests for device configuration? Being a device-centric platform investing thousands of engineering hours, we evaluate and help to find points of growth even if you're solidly rooted in the telematics landscape.

If you have a telematics mindset

Mapon, one of the oldest companies headquartered in Latvia, focuses on delivering a complete, high-quality solution by supporting industry-leading telematics devices. This allows them to provide the best possible service that their team can effectively maintain. That alone connects our teams—earning partner status here isn’t easy, and such an integration is practically a seal of quality. Just the numbers: over 30,000 clients worldwide, 350,000 devices connected, and an unbelievable 40 trillion (!) kilometers tracked.

In short, by concentrating on high-performing and reliable hardware, Mapon ensures their platform delivers top-notch performance and consistent support. Like many TSPs, their team wisely decided to avoid unnecessary complexity by skipping new protocols emerging on the market or not supporting less widely used devices.

But you might be losing some customers when you don't want to spend resources on implementation, while at the same time, they love your frontend. Even if you've got a long history track you can still benefit from flespi, and in this case, we'll act as a bridge between devices and the TSP.

How it works

We convert data from the devices connected into a format that Mapon can easily manage (the flow is explicitly described here). Your clients get the flexibility to choose any model that best fits their needs while still benefiting from Mapon’s full functionality. You don’t have to worry about protocol updates and bug fixes anymore, as flespi tracks the changes and implements the updates.

You also share the support load: flespi’s AI and engineering team handle questions on connectivity, configuration, and low-level device operations, while Mapon specialists focus on their core expertise.

How does it work? You can check out the list of devices or protocols that have already been added, and from there, it’s a piece of cake. You create a device, set it up as usual, and stream the data in Mapon’s format. That’s it!

When both sides win

  • At flespi, we offer the option to streamline data to Mapon, so new clients reaching Mapon can still benefit from their platform with lesser-known devices supported by flespi.

  • Mapon, as a TSP, can focus on providing excellent customer support without managing every protocol update from smaller manufacturers. Flespi ensures that data from other devices integrates smoothly and consistently, filling the gap for clients who need flexibility.

  • Even if both sides implement new features and functionality, due to the seamless transport layer integration, this synergy persists, and you can confidently continue to scale up your solution.
