June 2025 change log

Major flespi improvements in June 2025.

June was simultaneously both a wild and calm month for flespi. We didn’t publish anything new on our blog, but we did integrate 5 new protocols. This is exactly the case when our results speak for themselves.

After networking problems in April and May, we finally restored our perfect 100% uptime in June.

Among the newly integrated protocols, you may find a connector to High-Mobility – European service to pass into flespi information from various OEM platforms and OsmAnd – software tracker for the Android OS.

We released a large update of the Tacho Bridge App – a tool that is used for tachograph authentication on the client side. We see quite a notable demand for our tacho functionality among existing and new flespi users and are adopting our services correspondingly. We already implemented automatic .ddd file retrieval for many manufacturers with minimal configuration efforts required, fixed a lot of minor and major problems discovered with each new specific case, and actively continue developing and improving this functionality based on feedback from our users. In our shortcoming plans is the integration of tacho functionality for Xirgo, and after that, we will consider the adoption of a TBA application to existing tacho-card hotel solutions.

Andrei and Jan, in our team, are involved in the preparation of the Telematics and Connected Mobility Conference 2025. Andrei is responsible for the expo zone with 15 confirmed partners already. And Jan is specifically responsible for the content of the technical track and has already organized great speakers. We invested a lot of effort to keep the conference-presented content neutral from any product and company-specific marketing and focus on the value it gives to attendees. And it looks like this approach worked out. It will not be a pure networking event, but a real conference where world-leading telematics companies will discuss the most important problems we have in telematics nowadays and share their expertise with visitors. Please check the agenda and do not postpone your participation decision. The quantity of tickets is limited, and we have already sold all the discounted ones.

Finally, codi, our AI assistant, now automatically adapts to the user’s communication style. So you can instruct it a bit if you want – e.g., to be less technical, use only specific language, or, if you will let it know a bit about your integration, codi will automatically supply you with code samples in your preferred programming language/libraries. But in general, this is zero-configuration adaptation – codi just learns about you more with each next message and adapts to a certain level.

And second important update for codi, its intelligence level is now dependent on the flespi Plan you are running. Free users receive less intelligent AI, Start users get a normal one, and Pro, Enterprise, and Ultimate Plan users get the best models with increased knowledge loaded. So if you rely heavily on flespi AI in your services, consider upgrading your plan to Pro or better Enterprise.

This year, we also have in plans the release of MCP server functionality so that you can integrate flespi REST API and special telematics knowledge provided by flespi directly into the LLM of your choice – Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, or whatever AI tool capable of connecting to external MCPs. This will make the development of your flespi integration much quicker – AI will know exactly everything about the flespi, REST API methods, schemas, and so on.
